RBC Capital Believes Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) Still Has Room to Grow

In a report issued on October 12, Mark Mahaney from RBC Capital maintained a Buy rating on Alibaba (BABAResearch Report), with a price target of $300.00. The company’s shares closed last Wednesday at $301.04, close to its 52-week high of $302.61.

According to TipRanks.com, Mahaney is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 27.9% and a 66.7% success rate. Mahaney covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Spotify Technology SA, Jumia Technologies AG, and Zillow Group Class A.

Alibaba has an analyst consensus of Strong Buy, with a price target consensus of $328.36, representing a 6.3% upside. In a report issued on September 28, Loop Capital Markets also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $350.00 price target.

Based on Alibaba’s latest earnings release for the quarter ending June 30, the company reported a quarterly revenue of $154 billion and net profit of $47.53 billion. In comparison, last year the company earned revenue of $115 billion and had a net profit of $21.45 billion.
