Visa Inc Receives a Buy from BMO Capital

BMO Capital analyst James Fotheringham maintained a Buy rating on Visa Inc (NYSE: V) on November 24. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $79.08.

According to, Fotheringham is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 11.7% and a 83.7% success rate. Fotheringham covers the Financial sector, focusing on stocks such as Discover Financial Services, Apollo Investment Corp., and Credit Acceptance Corp.

Currently, the analyst consensus on Visa Inc is Strong Buy and the average price target is $94.27, representing a 19.2% upside.

In a report issued on November 22, Jefferies also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $93 price target.

Based on Visa Inc’s latest earnings report for the quarter ending September 30, the company posted quarterly revenue of $4.26 billion and quarterly net profit of $1.93 billion. In comparison, last year the company earned revenue of $3.57 billion and had a net profit of $1.51 billion.
